SUMMARY:TJC: Shabbat at BIG BLUEgrass Benefit Concert 2026
DESCRIPTION:Celebrate Shabbat and support the Sierra State Parks Foundation and enjoy the biggest Bluegrass festival in the Tahoe Basin! \nDoors open at 4 pm. Music begins at 5 pm and goes until dark. The first 100 tickets are available at $40 for Early Bird Pricing. General Admission is $45 per person\, students with a valid college ID are $30 per person\, and children 6-12 are $10 per child (kids under 6 are free!). Tickets will be available at the door for $50. Parking is $10*. This event has sold out in previous years\, so we encourage you to pre-order your tickets. \n\n\n\n\n \nBand Line-up: Loretta Lynch\, Broken Compass Bluegrass\, and Jessica Malone Band \n\n\n \nClick Here for Tickets and Information! \nDuring the break between the first and second sets\, the emcee will announce a brief Shabbat Service hosted by TJC – Tahoe Jewish Community\, a project of North Tahoe Hebrew Congregation and Temple Bat Yam! Renew.Join us for the Elul Camping Retreat\, a beloved tradition for our three congregations—Temple Or Rishon and the Tahoe Jewish Community. Held from Friday\, August 28 to Sunday\, August 30\, 2026\, this Camping Shabbaton invites both seasoned campers and first-timers to unplug from daily routines and immerse in Shabbat\, nature\, community\, and spiritual preparation for the High Holy Days. \nSet amidst the beauty of Northern California\, this Elul retreat offers a special opportunity to gather around the campfire\, sing under the stars\, explore Jewish learning\, and strengthen the TOR/Tahoe community. \n\nRetreat Location & Accessibility\nOur group tent-only site is less than 2 hours and 15 minutes from each of our three congregations.
