What if there’s still more of your Jewish story to be written?
This 18-month, multi-tiered learning experience is an invitation to learn, grow, reconnect, and create a meaningful Jewish milestone—whether you’re returning to Judaism, discovering something new, or simply feeling called to deepen your connection.
Designed for adults who never had a B’mitzvah as well as those whose last B’mitzvah was when they were thirteen, this is a wonderful opportunity to build community, explore your Jewish identity, and look at the wisdom Judaism has to offer us at this stage of life.
You don’t need to be at a certain level to begin. You just need the desire to learn more. Come as you are, bring your questions, and join us for a journey of learning, connection, and celebration.
This 18 month multi-tiered learning experience prepares adults for a meaningful B’nai Mitzvah through Hebrew learning, foundational Jewish study, and spiritual exploration, all rooted in the natural beauty of Lake Tahoe. Participants will get the opportunity to engage in virtual coursework, community-building, and personal growth all of which will culminate in a group B’nai Mitzvah ceremony at a Lake Tahoe location which highlights the beauty of our Gem of Creation – Lake Tahoe.
The Journey
Become B’nai Mitzvah in one of the most beautiful places on earth. This guided journey brings together Jewish wisdom, Hebrew learning, community, and the spiritual power of nature—culminating in a meaningful Shavuot ceremony at Lake Tahoe, our Gem of Creation.
Through weekly virtual gatherings, alternating between Judaics with Rabbi Lauren and Rabbi Evon and Hebrew tutoring focused on prayer and Torah reading, you’ll build knowledge, confidence, and connection at your own pace.
Along the way, you’ll:
- Learn to read and understand basic prayer Hebrew
- Explore Jewish traditions, values, and holidays
- Gain confidence in synagouge participation
- Develop a deeper connection to Torah and Jewish practice
- Form meaningful relationships with a supportive cohort
- Have opportunities for optional in-person experiences in Tahoe
The journey culminates during Shavuot 2028, when we’ll gather in Lake Tahoe for a powerful communal B’nai Mitzvah celebration.
Join from anywhere in the world. You bring the curiosity and desire to learn—we’ll guide you through the rest.
