Join the Tahoe Jewish Community for a weekend of community and meaning at Sugar Bowl Resort. This will be an intimate gathering for Jewishly connected people who are visiting or who live in Tahoe. Enjoy a Friday night Shabbat Potluck, opportunities to connect with friends on the slopes, Havdalah on the mountain on Saturday and finish with a gathering over coffee on Sunday, all with programming provided by Rabbi Evon and Dr. Patricia Gibbs.
Friday March 13th
5 pm-7:30 pm Hellman Duckski House – Shabbat Potluck, optional to bring a vegetarian item to share, food including gluten free and vegan options will be provided by hosts
Saturday March 14th
10:00 am Village Lodge Deck – brief Jewish learning moment with Rabbi Evon, look for our TJC Sign

3:45 pm Bottom of Disney at Lift – meet for Havdalah on the Mountain, ride up
(non-skiers welcome, snowcat ride down provided)
4:00 pm Top of Mt. Disney Havdalah
5:00 pm Ski or snowcat ride down Disney
5:15 pm-7:00 pm Hellman Duckski House continue the conversation Havdalah program with Rabbi Evon and Dr. Patricia Gibbs, nosh, including appetizers and a light dinner, gluten free and vegan options will be provided by hosts

12 pm-2 pm Hellman Duckski House – Farewell Pastries and Coffee with Rabbi Evon

Who is allowed to attend?
– all are welcome! It’s an open event and there is no fee. Whether you are Jewish, jewishly connected, or curious about the Tahoe Jewish Community and judaism, you are welcome
Do I have to be a TJC member to participate?
– you don’t have to be a member or have any previous association with Tahoe Jewish Community to participate
Can I bring my child with me?
– While these events are not oriented towards children, they are allowed to attend
Do I have to be skiing to participate?
– Not at all, some will choose to ski over the weekend, while others will take the chance to hang out with the community and enjoy a relaxing Jewish environment
I want to do Havdalah on the mountain! Do I have to ski to participate?
– You don’t have to ski to participate, you can ride the lift up and take a ski cat ride down
Do I have to be a passholder or homeowner at Sugar Bowl to participate?
– you do not need a ski pass and you do not need to be a homeowner to participate
Do I have to stay in Sugar Bowl?
– no, you can just come in for the day
