Celebrate Shavuot with our community! Join us on Wednesday, June 4th, at 10 AM for a special gathering led by Rabbi Lauren and Rabbi Joshua Cohen of Leket Israel. Shavuot is a time to give thanks for the harvest and the abundance of the land. However, in Israel, many families face economic hardship, making basic necessities like fresh produce unaffordable.
Together, we will reflect on the true meaning of Shavuot, acknowledging the challenges faced by those in need, and how we can contribute to their well-being. Rabbi Cohen will share his insights on the work of Leket Israel and the crucial role we all play in combating food insecurity. This will be a wonderful opportunity to learn and engage with Rabbi Cohen during a meet and greet, discussing his experiences and the impact of Leket Israel’s efforts.
The gathering will take place as we engage in a short hike along the lake beginning at the Tunnel Creek Parking Lot.
Join us as we celebrate Shavuot and connect with nature.
