As we prepare our homes and hearts for Passover, we’re also pulling out our seder plates—each one carrying its own story, memories, and meaning.
This stunning piece is one of the oldest known seder plates in existence, dating back to around 1480. Beautifully inscribed and rich with history, it comes from pre-expulsion Spain and is now housed at the Israel Museum.
There may be bitter herbs on the plate, but there’s nothing bitter about the craftsmanship or the enduring spirit it represents. A powerful reminder of resilience, tradition, and the beauty we carry forward through generations.
